“I’ve always been a firm believer in mind over matter. If you don’t believe you can achieve, your body will start to believe this and you will be stuck” –
Do you believe in magic? After learning that our brains are AMAZINGLY powerful I know I do.
In my previous post “The Motivation” I mentioned that our mentality plays a vital role in achieving our goals. It’s quite weird if you think about it at first and you may deny it too. The way we think or allow ourselves to think portrays where we are in life and where we wish to be. The same goes for our emotions. We can be extremely happy if we want to be with just a simple thought which would instantly change our mood. I wish I was more open minded and understood my body well enough while I was growing up. Could you imagine how much better schooling would be if we adjusted our minds to focus on successfully reaching our goals?
When we are younger we are told to do as our parents say and basically live a parrot life. But growing up and learning more about ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses, we eventually venture onto our own paths. Sometimes it is quite challenging to convince yourself to do things, like writing a blog post for example. Your mind thinks of every possible reason in the world to avoid typing lengthy posts and doing research. Honestly, it is way easier to cosy up in bed and Facebook stalk our friends or frenemies.
A healthy optimistic mind equates to a happy successful life. Change your negatives into positives and start working towards your dreams.
Remember these few points of encouragement:
-Be the driver of your life.
-Define your goals, visualise the outcome and find out what you need to do to achieve it.
-Try not to be over-dramatic with your thoughts, make sure they’re realistic.
-Never base your solutions just on other people’s opinions, always think think think and take charge.
